25 Fun Summer Events Happening All Week Long

It’s hard to believe summer is winding down. Before you know it the kiddos will be back to school and everyone will be back to their routine. But until then, embrace the days and nights ahead, including this week with movie nights, including one at Fenway Park, outdoor concerts, the Fisherman’s Feast in the North End and a whole lot more.

Monday, August 13

Boston Parks’ Summer Fitness Series

Join the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Parks and Recreation Dept. and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts as they kick off the summer of 30 free outdoor fitness classes each week in and around the city. These free classes take place throughout Boston’s 18 neighborhoods and two dozen parks all summer long. Today try zumba at 6 p.m. at Christopher Columbus Park in the North End, salsa dancing at 6 p.,m. At Blackstone Square in the South End, Carnival Fit at 6 p.m. at Harambee Park in Dorchester, Afrobeat Bootcamp at 6 p.m. At Malcolm X Park in Roxbury or Yoga at 6:30 p.m. at Mother’s Rest at 4 Corners in Dorchester.

Cake and Ben Folds at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion

Ben Folds and Cake take the stage tonight at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion as part of their co-headlining tour. Tickets start at $59. 7 p.m., Blue Hills Bank Pavilion, 290 Northern Ave., Boston.

Mayor Walsh’s Movie Night: “Peter Rabbit”

Grab your chair or blanket and catch a free outdoor movie tonight with Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s Movie Nights, part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Dept.’s ParkARTS program which features popular films under the night sky in 12 of the city’s parks throughout August and September. Tonight catch “Peter Rabbit” at dusk (approximately 7:45 p.m.). Free popcorn will be provided by AMC Loews Theatres. Medal of Honor Park, South Boston.

Boston Harbor Hotel’s Summer in the City Entertainment Series: Pop-Soul Tuesdays

Tuesdays are all about pop and soul during the Boston Harbor Hotel’s Summer in the City concert series. Tonight enjoy the music of Young Love & The Thrills for your live waterfront entertainment. 6-10 p.m., Boston Harbor Hotel, 70 Rowes Wharf, Boston.

Movie Night at Fenway Park

You don’t want to miss Fenway Movie Night tonight at America’s favorite ballpark. Catch the 1993 Steven Spielberg classic “Jurassic Park” on the park’s 40 by 100-foot videoboard. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 under. The event is free for season ticket holders. Gates open at 6:45 p.m. and the movie begins at 8 p.m. Attendees will be invited to walk the warning track from 6:45-7:45 p.m. (weather and field work permitting). Fenway Park, Boston.

Adult Night at LEGOLAND

Once a month LEGOLAND Discovery Center opens its doors for a “no kids allowed” adult night. Tonight’s the night! Spectacle Island Luau

Head to the tropics without leaving Boston Harbor at Boston Harbor Cruises’ weekly Luau on Spectacle Island. Enjoy a relaxing cruise to and from the island and a luau feast by renowned Chef Barbara Lynch. Tickets are $75 for ages 12 and over, $53 for ages 3-11 and free for children under 3.
