A family was able to escape without serious injury when a fire broke out in their Massachusetts home early Monday.
It started on Rydberg Terrace a little after 1 a.m. in Auburn.
Heavy flames could be seen coming from the side and the rear of the house.
Firefighters say the homeowner got up to investigate some noises, saw the flames, and got everyone one, including his elderly mother.
And, later in the day, while fire officials were checking out hot spots, they miraculously found Bella, the missing family dog, safe and sound inside the residence.
Investigators say this does not appear suspicious, but they are still looking into the cause.
