3 Accused of Shooting at Car Held Without Bail

Three men accused of shooting at another car exiting Route 128 in Canton, Massachusetts, have been ordered held without bail.

Canton Police Chief Kenneth Berkowitz said no one was injured in the incident early Sunday.

Berkowitz said a 911 caller told police around 4:30 a.m. that a car pulled alongside his and someone fired several shots as he exited Route 128 North. The driver said more shots were fired at his car as the two vehicles traveled on Washington Street.

Berkowitz said the victim's car was struck at least five times.

Mansfield police stopped the suspects' car on Route 106.

Two Boston men, 27-year-old Yancey Williams and 35-year-old Louis Whitehead ,and 37-year-old Arthur Williams of Randolph were arrested on charges including armed assault with intent to murder.

All three will be held until pending dangerousness hearings.
