Three men have pleaded not guilty to their alleged involvement in the July shooting death of a 20-year-old Boston man.
Twenty-year-old Tyshawn Pereira, of Mattapan, 20-year-old Michael Johnson-McNeil and 21-year-old Bobby Robinson-Gilmere were arraigned Monday on armed assault with intent to murder charges and other offenses.
Authorities said Jean Louis was sitting in a car near Dorchester Avenue July 11 waiting for his 16-year-old friend. Two men walking down Bailey Street opened fire as his friend approached the car.
Louis was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital. The 16-year-old survived the shooting.
Prosecutors say Pereira, who's also facing a murder charge, fired shots at the car. They say Dorchester residents Johnson-McNeil and Robinson-Gilmere are linked to two cars that were at the scene of the shooting.
