5 Hospitalized Following 3-Car Crash on Cape Cod

Five people were hospitalized overnight following a multi-car crash on Cape Cod, according to emergency responders.

Seven people were involved in the three-car crash, which happened at about 10 p.m. Tuesday in Osterville, according to the town’s Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services. The crash happened on Route 28 near Old East Osterville Road, authorities said.

Upon arrival, first responders found three cars with "significant" damage. Four people were in one SUV, two people were in a second car and a single driver was in the third vehicle. Five individuals were taken to Cape Cod Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and two others declined treatment.

The exact conditions of all parties involved in the crash is unclear.

Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available. It is unclear if any drivers involved will face charges.
