A New York-based group of burger spots has closed its sole Boston location.
According to a source, 5 Napkin Burger at the Prudential Center is no longer in business, with its website confirming this, saying that "It has been our pleasure to serve you for the last 7 years. We have enjoyed every minute of our time in Boston. Unfortunately, our run has come to an end and we are now closed. We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this causes." No reason has been given for its closure and it is not known exactly when the place closed, though a check on the spot last week indicated that it appeared to be open at the time.
5 Napkin Burger first opened at the Pru in the spring of 2011, offering a variety of burgers along with clam chowder, wings, tuna poke, chicken and waffles, and more. It currently has four other locations, all of which are in New York City.
