The arrests were made Tuesday at the Northgate Plaza shopping center on Squire Road

Four men are facing charges following the seizure of $60,000 worth of fentanyl at a shopping plaza in Revere, Massachusetts, according to state police.

The arrests were made Tuesday at the Northgate Plaza shopping center on Squire Road, police said.

Through a joint investigation by state and local police and the Department of Homeland Security, authorities said arrangements were made for four kilograms of fentanyl to be purchased.

Once the suspects arrived at the shopping plaza and the fentanyl was confirmed to be in their possession, police said, officers arrested Gaki Antonio Rodriguez, 44, of Woodland Park, New Jersey; Sandy Suazo, 42, of New Britain, Connecticut; David Diaz Rodriguez, 46, of Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania, and Francisco Alvarez, 39, of New Britain, Connecticut.

Police said officers recovered a four-kilogram brick of fentanyl from one of the suspect's vehicles.

The men are expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court on various charges including trafficking in fentanyl and conspiracy to violate drug laws. It's unclear if they have attorneys.
