More syringes were found on an island in a Massachusetts pond after a child was stuck Sunday, Rockland Fire officials confirmed.
Fire crews paddled out in a canoe on Reed Pond. On the island, they ultimately found eight used needles.
The child was taken to the emergency room of a hospital for evaluation.
Rockland Fire did not know the condition of the child.
