I-495 in Westborough Reopens After Crews Fix Utility Wire

Transportation officials shut a section of I-495 in Westborough, Massachusetts, temporarily on Friday afternoon so crews could remove a low-hanging utility wire.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said all travel lanes had to close beginning at 3:30 p.m. for a utility company to secure and remove the wire.

The work forced the closure of ramps from Route 9 east and west to I-495 north.

All lanes and ramps were reopened just after 5 p.m.
