Prosecution Finishes in Amy Lord Murder Trial; Defense Set to Start

The latest testimony in the trial of Edwin Alemany came from detectives who interviewed Alemany following his arrest

After nearly two weeks of testimony, the prosecution finished in the trial of a Boston man accused of kidnapping and murdering a woman.

The latest testimony in the trial of Edwin Alemany came from detectives who interviewed Alemany following his arrest, just a day after he allegedly murdered 24-year-old Amy Lord.

In a video of the interview, Alemany calmly denied all of the accusations against him, including accusations stemming from another attack he's believed to be behind, just hours after Lord's death.

Prosecutors say Alemany kidnapped Amy Lord as she left her South Boston apartment for a morning workout. They say he beat her, forced her to withdraw money from her bank, then stabbed and strangled her before leaving her nude body in a park.

Alemany's lawyers have planned an insanity defense. The defense's testimony is set to start after lunch.
