Two New Hampshire men, including a girl’s soccer coach, are facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting children, the Keene Police Department said.

Alexander Waterbury, 24, and Richard Labrake, 61, were both arrested after separate investigations by the department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

Waterbury allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student who was between 13 and 16 years old. He was employed at the time by Monadnock Regional High School as a soccer coach for the girl’s middle school team, police said. He has also coached for other girl's soccer clubs in the area.

Waterbury was arrested on Tuesday and taken to the Cheshire County House of Correction, where he will remain pending his arraignment on Wednesday in Cheshire Superior Court. He faces four counts of felonious sexual assault and two counts of prohibited sales alcohol.

Waterbury’s case remains under investigation by Keene police, who are encouraging anyone with information to contact Det. Jen Truman at 603-357-9820.

Labrake sexually assaulted a child under 13 years of age, according to police. He was charged with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of felonious sexual assault.

Labrake was arrested on Thursday and arraigned the following day at Cheshire County Superior Court where he was ordered held without bail.

It wasn't immediately clear if Waterbury or Labrake had attorneys to respond to the charges.

NBC10 Boston reached out to Keene police to see if the incidents are related.
