BMW Crashes Through Garage Wall at Brookline, Mass. Condo Complex

Authorities were on scene Sunday at a Brookline, Massachusetts apartment complex where a car crashed through a garage wall, right next to a busy indoor gym.

Fire crews spent the afternoon clearing cinder blocks as they tried to dislodge the BMW that got stuck after a female driver hit reverse and barrelled through the wall of the underground garage of the Brook House Condominium Complex, according to officials.

The incident happened at 99 Pond Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

"Usually everyone seems to drive pretty safely in the garage," one woman said.

Deputy Fire Chief Owen Thompson says it's likely driver error.

Officials say no one is hurt. The driver, who was assessed by medical personnel, is OK.

"It's actually a miracle no one was hurt," Thompson said.

The building remained open as crews continued to try to remove the BMW and shore up the wall.

The incident is under investigation.
