Shark sightings caused mutliple Cape Cod beaches to close Tuesday.

In the morning, Ballston Beach in Truro was closed to swimming for an hour after a shark was spotted in the area, according to the Truro Recreation Department.

Then at about 11:15 a.m. two sharks were spotted about a mile away from Marconi Beach in Wellfleet, according to the Sharktivity app. Swimmers were urged to use caution and stay in the shallow water.

Later on, a shark was spotted just 30 yards off Coast Guard Beach in Eastham by multiple lifeguards, according to Sharktivity. The beach closed for the day at 4 p.m.
