Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

A man accused of robbing a bank in Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested Monday night, according to police.

Manchester Police say Kevin Sigurbjartsson, 28, robbed the Bank of New England on 1589 Elm St. on May 16. Police say he passed a note to a bank teller demanding cash.

Officers originally stopped Sigurbjartsson and another man, Jarod Leroux, 36, that morning after the robbery. Leroux was arrested for an unrelated warrant out of Belknap County for selling meth, and police say he had no involvement in the robbery. Sigurbjartsson was released from the scene.

Following further investigation, police obtained an arrest warrant for Sigurbjartsson, and he was arrested around 5:45 Monday evening as he approached the Federal building.

He was charged with unarmed robbery and was scheduled to be in court Tuesday morning.
