Homeowner: Woman Carrying Baby Broke Into South Boston Condo

A woman carrying a young baby broke into a South Boston condo over the weekend, according to the homeowner who watched it happen live while on vacation on the Cape.

The homeowner, who doesn’t want to be identified, says she felt violated that someone would break into her home and she also has grave concern for the baby involved.

"You could see the person in our house which was super unsettling, very violating, so the initial reaction was just kind of shock, how did they get in? What are they doing here? What are they looking for? Why are they in our house?"

The brazen and bizarre break in was caught on home security camera in the middle of the day Sunday. Video footage shows the woman walk into the condo, while carrying the baby, acting as if she lives there. The woman walks up the stairs and pauses for a few seconds before moving on.

"Our first thought, because we have a baby, maybe she just desperately needed a diaper, maybe she needed to change her baby, then I was like, 'no, that's ridiculous,'" the homeowner said.

After a few minutes, you can see on security footage that the woman leaves.

The homeowner says she rushed home from the Cape and didn’t find anything significant stolen, which just adds to the mystery of, who is this? Why did she do it? And is the baby okay?

"I hope its an innocent mistake, I hope it was the wrong house, or she, I don't know what she was thinking but I don't want anything bad to happen to her or her baby, I just want answers. I want to know what she was thinking or doing."

The homeowner adds that she is baffled as to how the woman got into her home.

She posted the video on Facebook, where it’s gone viral with nearly 200 shares.

People in the community are joining police in looking for the suspect and her baby.
