A woman was hospitalized early Thursday morning after a fire brought out at a home in Blackstone, Massachusetts.
The fire happened just before 3 a.m. at a home on Lakeshore Drive.
Fire officials told WJAR-TV that the victim was conscious and alert when she was taken to an area hospital with burns to her face.
Authorities said the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation but they believe it started in a bedroom, possibly while a resident was filling up a lighter.
The other residents of the home are not being allowed back inside due to the extensive fire and water damage. They are making arrangements to stay with family.
