Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a body was recovered from the Charles River on Monday.
The body was found at about 7:45 a.m. off Memorial Drive near Magazine Beach, according to state police. The grisly discovery was made by a rower, who then reported it to authorities.
Officials have not released the identity of the person whose body was found, but did say it was an adult male.
The Middlesex District Attorney's Office will lead the investigation.
