Boston Calling Music Festival Adds Lil Nas X, More to Lineup

If you’re traveling on the "Old Town Road" to Boston Calling, you may be able to catch rapper Lil Nas X during his special guest appearance.

Organizers announced Monday that the Georgia-based rapper will perform “Old Town Road” at the festival on Sunday. The viral hit song made headlines in March after Billboard removed the tune from their country charts because it didn’t fit their standards for the genre.

In addition to Lil Nas X, Boston Calling added indie band CHVRCHES, singer-songwriter Betty Who, electronic duo Snakehips and rock band Bear Hands.

Hip hop duo Black Star and singer Janelle Monae were originally set to perform at the event this year, but have dropped out of the lineup.

Boston Calling will be held at the Harvard Athletic Complex from May 24 to May 26. Tickets can be bought here.
