Boston Bruins' left winger Brad Marchand is in trouble with the league again, although he won't be facing a suspension for his latest incident.

Marchand was fined $5,000 for cross-checking Andrew MacDonald of the Philadelphia Flyers late in the second period of Sunday's game, which is the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement.

Trailing 2-1 at the time, the Bruins were on the power play when MacDonald pinned Marchand along the wall in the offensive zone. Marchand took issue with MacDonald's hit, cross-checking him in the face and drawing a two-minute minor penalty.

Marchand has been suspended six times in his career for on-ice indiscretions, including a five-game suspension in January for an illegal hit on New Jersey's Marcus Johansson. He was also fined $2,000 in March for embellishment.

The Bruins came back to tie Sunday's game with the Flyers on a Patrice Bergeron goal with less than 4 seconds left in regulation before falling in overtime.

Boston is still in first place in the Atlantic Division with a 49-17-12 record and Marchand is the team's leading scorer with 34 goals and 50 assists for 84 points.
