SANTA ROSA, CA - FEBRUARY 07: Russian River Brewing Company customers clink their glasses while drinking the newly released Pliny the Younger triple IPA beer on February 7, 2014 in Santa Rosa, California. Hundreds of people lined up hours before the opening of Russian River Brewing Co. to taste the 10th annual release of the wildly popular Pliny the Younger triple IPA beer that will only be available on tap from February 7th through February 20th. Craft beer aficionados rank Pliny the Younger as one of the top beers in the world. The craft beer sector of the beverage industry has grown from being a niche market into a fast growing 12 billion dollar business, as global breweries continue to purchase smaller regional craft breweries such this week's purchase of New York's Blue Point Brewing by AB Inbev. It looks like Boston may be getting a brand new brewery and brewpub.

According to a Facebook post from the Brighton Allston Improvement Association (BAIA), Brato Brew Pub is seeking a beer and wine license as well as a common victualler license to operate at N Beacon Street in Brighton, with a check on the Facebook page of the business showing that its exact name may be Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen. The Facebook page mentions that the brewpub expects to feature "all things fermented," with grilled cheese, sandwiches, house-made sausage, "thoughtfully crafted" beers, and (according to an earlier Eater Boston article) breads and pickles offered.

The Eater Boston post says that Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen could be opening sometime next year, though no specific timetable has been given as of yet.

The address for this proposed brewery and brewpub in Brighton is: Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen, 190 N Beacon Street, Brighton, MA, 02135. The website for the business can be found at
