Authorities are searching for a suspect they consider armed and dangerous in connection with a carjacking outside of a Massachusetts home.
The 78-year-old owner of a popular business in North Attleboro was carjacked outside of her home around 3:15 p.m. Monday.
"He showed her the gun," Paul Briggs said.
Barbara Briggs was just getting back from the grocery store, according to her husband, Paul.
It happened just seconds before Paul came back to their North Attleboro home.
"I was right there. I was 20 feet away," Paul said. "I just drove in when it all happened. I watched him drive out."
Another relative tells NBC Boston the suspect threatened the grandmother with a gun and a knife and she tried to fight back as he stole her black Jeep SUV.

Fortunately, the owner of Briggs Nursery, the family business that's only steps away, wasn't hurt.
But in a written statement, the family said the 78-year-old was "shaken up" after the "terrifying experience."
"When you're our age, you get a little nervous," added Paul.
Police say the woman's vehicle was found not too far away in Attleboro near the intersection of Stobbs and Holcott drives, but the carjacker was not.
After recovering the SUV, police launched an intense manhunt with K-9s in an effort to find the suspect.
"I'm shocked that this sort of thing happens around here. It's usually pretty quiet."
Dayna Lee says she and other employees are just relieved Mrs. Briggs wasn't hurt.
"She's just a very, very nice lady."
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, but no further information has been released.
