Brothers Kouzina in Peabody Plans to Close at the End of the Year

by Marc Hurwitz

A popular Greek restaurant is going to be closing to make way for a dispensary, though not as quickly as originally thought.

According to an article in the Patch, Brothers Kouzina in Peabody is looking to close at the end of the year, as a medical marijuana dispensary is being planned for the Route 1 space. The post says that the original plan was for the dining spot to close at the end of this month, but the people behind the spot are looking for a new space in which to move. (The Patch says that the person behind the dispensary is the nephew of the owners of Brothers Kouzina.)

Brothers Kouzina first opened in 2006, offering customers a mix of Greek and American dishes including souvlaki, calamari, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, mousaka, grilled octopus, spinach pie, gyros, steak tips, broiled scallops, burgers, and more.

The address for Brothers Kouzina is 25 Newbury Street (Route 1), Peabody, MA, 01960. The website for the restaurant can be found at http://www.brotherskouzina.com/
