Bruegger's Bagels in Kenmore Square Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

A chain of bagel spots that is headquartered in Vermont has closed one of its Boston locations.

According to a Twitter post, Bruegger's Bagels in the Kenmore Square/Fenway section of the city is no longer in business, with a picture shown indicating that the windows of the Beacon Street outlet are papered over while a check on the website for the company shows that the shop has indeed been removed from the locations page. An earlier article from Universal Hub mentions that the block in which the bagel shop resided will apparently be the site of a new development that includes retail and office space.

Bruegger's Bagels, whose headquarters are in Burlington, VT, operates a number of other locations in the Greater Boston area, including two in downtown Boston, one in the Longwood section of the city, and other shops in Brookline, Cambridge, Belmont, Melrose, Chestnut Hill, Milton, and Winchester.

The address for this now-closed bagel shop in Kenmore Square was: Bruegger's Bagels, 644 Beacon Street, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for the chain can be found at https://www.brueggers.com/
