Bruno's Brewery Planning to Open in Dorchester

by Marc Hurwitz

Another new brewery is being planned for Boston, and this one may be coming to a little peninsula along the Neponset River.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, Bruno's Brewery is seeking a Farmer Brewery Pouring License to operate in the Port Norfolk section of Dorchester, with the Ericsson Street address indicating that it will apparently be opening next to Boston Winery. An earlier post on massbrewbros.com indicates that Ralph and Vito Bruno of Boston Winery are actually behind the brewery, which plans to have two rooms and an outdoor patio.

The Port Norfolk peninsula, which is basically cut off from the rest of Dorchester (and Boston) by the Southeast Expressway, is also home to Boston Harbor Distillery and Venezia Restaurant.

The address for the upcoming Bruno's Brewery is 24 Ericsson Street, Dorchester, MA, 02122.
