Several buildings at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, were evacuated after an email threat was received Friday.

The school said first-year student dormitories, the Smith Technology Center, the Falcon Complex, Slade Hall, Jenison Hall, Forest Hall, Lindsay Hall and Millar Hall were evacuated.

According to a statement from the school, the school is safe.

"This afternoon, Bentley University Police in conjunction with other public safety personnel evacuated multiple buildings on the upper campus after receiving an emailed threat," said the statement. "After an extensive investigation and review of campus buildings, police determined the campus to be safe and secure. Bentley University has re-opened all buildings, and students are free to return to residence halls. The campus has now resumed regular operations."
