Calling All Engaged Couples: Boston Public Library Hosting Wedding Ceremony Giveaway

Four lucky couples will have a Boston Public Library hosted wedding- for free

In search of a wedding venue? Boston Public Library might have the answer.

The library is hosting a giveaway for four lucky couples to have the chance to host their wedding ceremonies in the Copley Square Central Library’s Abbey Room this February - for free.

Interested couples are invited to register at https://www.bpl.org/ceremonygiveaway/ between Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Nov. 15. The winning couples will be notified around Monday, Nov. 18. The four randomly selected couples will exchange their vows on Feb. 2 at a ceremony with 10 guests of their choosing.

In addition to use of the venue and the ceremony, winners will also be provided with bouquets and boutonnieres, ceremony music, a short wedding photography session, an overnight stay at the Westin Copley Place, commemorative gifts from the Boston Public Library as well as light refreshments and breakfast before the ceremony.

The Boston Public Library is hosting the giveaway to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the McKim Building.

“We are so excited to offer couples a chance to have the Boston Public Library become part of their love story,” said David Leonard, president of the Boston Public Library. “The McKim Building was created with the intention of serving as a ‘palace for the people,’ and I can think of few more fitting ways to celebrate its 125th anniversary than by welcoming guests into this space in such a meaningful way.”

Further information about the giveaway can be found here and questions about the contest can be sent to events@bpl.org.
