Campground Told to Address Dumpster Issue to Curb Bear Conflicts

NH Fish and Game Department issues written warning to owner of Warren site regarding trash storage

A New Hampshire campground owner has been warned to address his site's trash storage situation, which officials say attracts bears.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department gave Joseph Paradis a written warning about open dumpsters at Moose Hillock Campground in Warren.

Officials say that storing trash properly helps minimize conflicts between humans and bears.

According to the department, bear activity at the campground is at a record high this season.
