Enes Kanter has made quite a few headlines on social media since joining the Boston Celtics this offseason. And on Monday night, he continued to make some waves.
Kanter posted pictures of himself meeting with former president Bill Clinton and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Kanter gifted both with custom Celtics jerseys and detailed a conversation he had with Bill in a recent tweet.
Me: Are you a @celtics fan sir ?@BillClinton : HUGE 🙌 ☘️
Me: Great! I have a custom jersey for you. #11
So, you wanna be the reason no one else will ?
Me: Dying 🤣😂 I wanna invite you to one of our games sir.
I'll get you some tix ( 🤦🏻♂️)@BillClinton : 😒😅 pic.twitter.com/XUnwdTfKB7 — Enes Kanter (@EnesKanter) September 17, 2019
Clinton's savvy Kyrie Irving joke shows that he must be following the team. Perhaps he became a Celtics fan when he attended law school at Yale. But either way, his allegiance appears to be with the Celtics.

According to another tweet, Kanter was meeting with the Clintons to discuss human rights violations in Turkey. The Turkish Kanter has openly spoken out against Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
This likely won't be the last time that Kanter meets with political figures during his Celtics career.
