At the scene, a large window screen could be seen on the ground. It was unclear what caused the child to fall.

Police released footage of a mother who said she accidentally left her 5-month-old in a car for half an hour in a Goodyear, Arizona, parking lot when she, her sister and other daughter went into the store. Officers are heard on camera saying it was about 99 degrees outside.

A man who said he is the father of the child showed up to the home Tuesday looking for answers. After seeing what appeared to be blood on the ground, the man became overwhelmed with emotion.

Eventually police were called to the scene and officers tried to diffuse the situation.

The girl's uncle, Christopher Tungwa, said the toddler lives in the home with his sister. He said the girl's father doesn't live in the home and didn't find out about the fall until Tuesday.

No further information was immediately available.
