Cold Front Pushes Melissa Out to Sea, Sun Returning Soon

Bye, Melissa! Finally what was Nor’easter then sup-tropical storm Melissa is moving away. It wasn’t a particularly damaging storm, but it caused significant travel disruptions between the Cape and Islands. While the rain underperformed, it was the wind and high surf that became the top headline. A cold front will be moving through overnight, guiding Melissa out to sea.

Sunday, the sun is back and we can carry on with our outdoor fall plans (like leaf peeping). Temperatures will be seasonable in the 60s. This fantastic fall weather will only stick around for a day, because showers return on Monday. Along the coast, we might be in for some heavy rain Monday morning, following by a drying/clearing during the afternoon. Tuesday, the sunshine returns for a day before another round of unsettled weather.

Mid-week another coast storm will quickly develop. Thankfully this one will be fast moving. Gusty winds and heavy rain return Wednesday afternoon and could continue into Thursday morning. Conditions will improve quickly by Thursday afternoon.

Friday through next weekend looks beautiful. The sunshine returns temperatures will start cool and end mild. Enjoy!
