Cool, Cloudy Weather Makes Way for Midweek Downpours

The cool, cloudy weather that many of us faced at the end of the weekend continues into the first part of the work-week.

Clouds, and even some drizzle for the Cape and Islands, will gradually give way to a bit more sunshine by Monday afternoon. A fairly stiff onshore wind will keep temperatures below average, in the upper 60s and 70s.

Tuesday brings a mixture of sun and clouds and temperatures also in the 70s.

A potent area of low pressure will approach New England Tuesday night into Wednesday. That will bring rounds of showers, downpours, and storms to the area, along with very muggy conditions and a gusty south-southwest wind.

That is the only day with big-time humidity and widespread storms, however. Late week into the weekend sunshine will return and humidity will be quite low. It will almost feel fall-like in the mornings! Highs by afternoon will be close to 80 on average.
