Police in Manchester, New Hampshire, have arrested a woman accused of crashing a car while under the influence of alcohol and assaulting officers during her arrest.

Officials responded to the rollover crash Wednesday morning around 2:30 in the area of 240 Spruce St.

Several by standers were surrounding the vehicle, which was flipped on its side in the middle of the street. The lone occupant of the vehicle, later identified as Samantha Gleason of Manchester, was moving inside the car.

She was helped out of the vehicle and only had a small cut on the side of her head.

Police say she denied involvement in the crash, said the vehicle didn’t belong to her and was undaunted by the entire incident. They report she laughed when she was asked questions and began yelling profanities.

Upon investigation, police learned that Gleason’s vehicle struck another vehicle, causing her vehicle to flip. As police began to arrest her for operating under the influence of alcohol, she allegedly kicked and spit at officers.

She was ultimately transported to a hospital, but did not sustain any serious injuries from the crash.

Gleason remains in the hospital as of Wednesday morning and is facing charges of DUI and assault.
