Woman Killed in 3-Car Crash on I-95 in Waterford

A woman has died after a three-car crash on I-95 in Waterford on Sunday.

Police say two vehicles were stopped for heavy traffic in the left lane of I-95 south near exit 81 around 3:00 p.m. when a third vehicle being driven by 29-year-old Daniel Brockway, of Waterford, failed to stop for traffic and hit the back of one vehicle, which then hit the back of a second vehicle.

As a result of the accident, 35-year-old Leotie Miller, of Newport, Pennsylvania, who was sitting in the back seat of the middle vehicle, suffered life-threatening injuries. Police say she was transported to the hospital where she later died. The highway was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the accident is urged to call police at (860) 848-6500.
