Dockside Restaurant in Chelsea Is Closing; El Potro to Take Over Space

by Marc Hurwitz

A trio of restaurants featuring classic American fare will soon be down to just two, while a trio of Mexican spots will be expanding into the space.

According to an email from the place, the Dockside in Chelsea is shutting down on Saturday, April 7, after six years in business and that it is being sold to El Potro Mexican Bar & Grill. The email says that all gift cards and loyalty membership points will be honored at the other two Dockside restaurants, which can be found on Centre Street in Malden and Main Street in Wakefield. It is not known when the new location of El Potro might open, so stay tuned for updates as they come in.

Currently, locations of El Potro can be found in Lowell, Malden, and Somerville.

The address for the soon-to-close Dockside in Chelsea (and upcoming El Potro) is 170 Everett Avenue, Chelsea, MA, 02150. The website for the Dockside is at http://www.docksiderestaurants.com/ while the website for El Potro is at http://elpotromexicangrill.com/
