    12 Hospitalized After Accidental Mace Discharge

    Firefighters from multiple departments in the area responded to Frugal Fannies on Wilson Way on Monday afternoon.

    As many as 12 people have been taken to the hospital after mace was discharged in a Westwood, Massachusetts store, according to fire officials. 

    Firefighters from multiple departments in the area responded to Frugal Fannies on Wilson Way on Monday afternoon. 

    Fire officials told NBC10 Boston that a can of mace was discharged in the store.

    A Westwood firefighter was among those taken to the hospital.

    The discharge is not believed to be suspicious and the store is expected to reopen shortly.
