Driver Sought in Brockton, Mass. Hit-and-Run

Police are searching for the driver of gray station wagon involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday in Brockton, Massachusetts.

The crash happened on Main Street shortly after 7:20 p.m., according to police. Witnesses told authorities a pedestrian, who was identified only as a 53-year-old man, ran across the street in front of a car traveling northbound.

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton before being transported to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to witnesses, it was dark and rainy when the crash happened. The driver continued traveling north, possibly in a Ford Escort Wagon.

Police are attempting to get surveillance footage in the area that may have captured the crash.
