Family Renews Calls For Tips In Unsolved 1993 Murder of 10-Year-Old Girl

The family of Holly Piirainen, who was murdered in 1993 when she was just ten years old, gathered Sunday evening for a vigil to build momentum for their new campaign seeking information from the public that might help solve their little girl's cold case.

Family members say they have never given up hope and authorities are now renewing calls for the public's help under the new tip campaign, "Hope for Holly." A cold case consultant working for the family said that there have been some recent developments in the case that gave renewed strength to the push for information. While there have been several suspects over the years, no one has ever been charged.
