Fenway Park Area Residents Express Concern Over Increasing Number of Concerts

Boston residents living around iconic Fenway Park are expressing their concern over the number of concerts Red Sox officials are proposing at the venue for 2019.

According to the Boston Herald, residents went to City Hall on Wednesday to voice their complaints on issues such as noise, traffic, and crowds.

Red Sox officials have asked for license privileges that would allow them to host up to 12 concerts between June 15 and Sept. 15, according to the Herald.

Since 2003, a number of big names have played at the park including Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Zac Brown Band, and Billy Joel.

While Red Sox officials and area businesses say the concerts bring in revenue for the city, residents argue that the number of shows per summer has gotten out of control.
