Fight Breaks Out in Brockton Between Baby Shower, Fashion Show Attendees

One person was arrested and two others hospitalized after a fight broke out Sunday between a group attending a baby shower and another party attending a fashion show at a restaurant in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Brockton police said the fight broke out around 5:30 p.m. at the Tamboo Bistro on Main Street. The initial call said five or six people were fighting, but a second caller said upwards of 50 people were involved.

Police are unsure what sparked the fight, but the Enterprise newspaper reported it all began when one group spilled over into the area reserved for the other group.

Joseph Moise, 31, of Brockton, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he allegedly threw a chair that hit a woman. He was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Brockton District Court.
