Fitchburg Domestic Violence Suspect Turns Himself In

Fitchburg police say a suspect wanted in connection for a reported domestic assault turned himself into authorities Tuesday morning.

Fitchburg Police began their search for 22-year-old Sanderson Cuevas on Monday. Officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. to Summit Street for a report of a disturbance in which a gun was used.

State and local police initially searched for Cuevas at locations in Fitchburg and Lunenburg, but were unable to find him. A Fitchburg police news release at 10 a.m. this morning said Cuevas turned himself in without incident.

While details of the incident are limited, Cuevas is wanted on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm in a felony, threat to commit a crime and possession of ammunition without an FID card.

Police Monday said Cuevas was allegedly armed and potentially dangerous.
