Food Truck Puts Asian Rice Dishes In the Palm of Your Hand

Riceburg isn't your typical burger joint. In fact, their twist on the burger concept is probably something you've never tried before.

They craft Asian rice dishes into a burger form, complete with rice patty buns and meats like bulgogi shaved steak and chicken cutlets.

Vegetarian options like soy chicken and shittake mushrooms are also available.

Owner Jessica Shen said she was working a 9-5 accounting job when she started learning more about the rise of healthy eating and dieting.

"People love hamburgers in general and everyone loves a rice plate, so if I can combine the concept of these two and serve it on a food truck, that would be great," Shen said.

Shen added that she didn't want to just start up another Asian fast food truck. She wanted to bring something new to the market.

Shen said that the first year was difficult and trying to get people to understand the concept was a tough sell, but as time went on, more people grew on Riceburg.
