'Late Night': Meyers, Jones Watch 'GoT' With Lord Varys

Seth Meyers and Leslie Jones get out the snacks to watch the latest episode of "Game of Thrones." Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) also drops by. (Published Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017)

"The Mountain" is getting a chance to prove his might.

Hafthor "Thor'' Bjornsson, of Iceland, the brutal, feared guard of Queen Cersei Lannister of the "Game of Thrones" series, is competing in the Heavy Athletics competition for a third time at the annual New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival in Lincoln, which starts Friday.

The 6-foot-9, 400-pound Bjornsson will be lifting heavy stones over his head and throwing a 56-pound weight with an attached handle over a horizontal bar with one hand. He's also planning to lift a car in strength demonstration events.

The 28-year-old said he had no idea how much "Game of Thrones," which recently wrapped up its seventh season, would change his life. He's much busier now, and people recognize him often.

He says he's sworn to secrecy about the next season, the final one.
