Golden Garden in Belmont Has Closed

A suburban Chinese restaurant that has been featured on our sister site has shut down, though another location of the place that recently opened remains in operation.

A check on the place today indicates that Golden Garden in Belmont is closed, with a "For Rent" sign in the window and another sign indicating that the Concord Avenue dining spot made the decision to close because its lease expired. The sign also mentions that the Malden location of Golden Garden, which opened on Highland Avenue earlier this year, remains open for business and that they are considering this to be a "move."

Golden Garden first opened in the summer of 2010, taking over the space where Osaka and several other restaurants had been. The dining spot has been featured on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site as an under-the-radar place to go for northeastern Chinese cuisine, with the review being found here:

The address for the now-closed Golden Garden in Belmont was 63 Concord Avenue, Belmont, MA, 02478.
