Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill Plans to Open in Roxbury

A chain of Jamaican restaurants may be opening a second Boston location--and what will likely be the third outlet in the local area.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill is looking to open in Roxbury, with the address indicating that it would be coming to a space on Warren Street in the Dudley Square area. If it gets approval to open, the new location of the chain would join an outlet in Mattapan, and another location that has been in the works for awhile may finally open in Brockton early next year.

The New York-based Golden Krust is known in part for its Jamaican beef patties, along with such items as stewed chicken, braised oxtail, curried goat, and whole fish.
