Grandmother, Granddaughter Robbed in Manchester

Police in New Hampshire are looking for a suspect accused of robbing an 83-year-old grandmother as she was getting out of a car with her 10-year-old granddaughter in Manchester.

Officers responded to a Wilson Street address at 1:25 p.m. on Monday for an unarmed robbery.

The victim said she parked her car in the driveway when an unknown man ran up to her and forcefully grabbed her purse, which contained cash, credit cards, and bank information, police said.

The victim told police she struggled with the suspect, but the man overpowered her. He allegedly took the purse and fled on foot toward a bicycle. According to police, the suspect got on the bicycle, but fell off while the young girl ran after him. He abandoned the bike and fled on foot.

Police described the suspect as a man wearing a gray or black coat, black pants, black shoes with white trim and a black, flat-brimmed hat.
