After a short-lived break from humidity, it returns Monday.

For inland locations, it will be day two of the heatwave. Cooling sea breezes kept temperatures down along the coast during the day on Sunday. All areas will reach the mid-to-upper 90s on Monday. Heat indices will reach the 100s. The day will be dry throughout New England.

Tuesday, much of the area is dry. Late in the day, it’s possible that there could be some thunderstorms in far northern New England. A cold front will be slowly dropping south. Once again, it will be very hot. High temperatures will reach the mid-to-upper 90s. Again, heat indices will reach the 100s.

By Wednesday, shower and thunderstorm chances will be increasing. At this point, it’s too early to tell if there will be any severe weather. Temperatures will be very warm, but not quite as high as they were Monday and Tuesday. Clouds, showers and thunderstorms will likely keep temperatures into the upper-80s.

Scattered thunderstorms may linger into Thursday. Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s. Friday through the weekend looks rather nice! Temperatures will be seasonable and it will remain mostly dry!
