What a day yesterday! Many high temperature records were broken across most of the region. Boston hit 84, breaking the previous record of 78.
Nashua, New Hampshire hit 88, breaking the previous record of 84 and Worcester hit 83, breaking the previous record of 80. There’s nothing record-breaking about today though.
A cold front brings showers and thunderstorms across New England during the afternoon into the evening. The main threat area of thunderstorms is located across central Massachusetts and northern Rhode Island.
Precipitation quickly moves offshore around the evening commute followed by clearing. Highs reach into the upper 60s to 70 degrees across the south and near 60 degrees north.
Cold front pushes offshore tonight, allowing winds to briefly pick up across the area. Lows tonight drop into the low 40s south and mid to upper 30s north. Sunny skies are in store for Thursday as high pressure moves into the area from the Great Lakes.
A weak wave in the atmosphere may bring some rain and snow showers across the mountains of the north country. All in all, a great spring day with highs cresting into the low 60s south and the mid 50s north. Another great day expected on Friday as high pressure results in continued dry and seasonable weather.
Highs will reach into the low 60s south and mid 50s north. Need to keep an eye on the potential of some sea breeze development during the day on Friday, which would keep some coastal locations on the cooler side, since water temperatures this time of year are still in the 40s.

High pressure shifts offshore on Saturday as the next weather maker moves into New England from the west.
Clouds will increase throughout the day. Most of the day is dry but, expect showers to move in towards the evening and night. Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast for Easter Sunday as warmer air filters into New England.
Highs will reach into the upper 70s to 80 degrees across the interior and the upper 60s to near 70 degrees across the north.
A cooling trend develops into next week as a train of cold fronts move through the region. Marathon Monday is looking like a great for a road race with temperatures reaching into the low 60s. Tuesday features slightly cooler temperatures in the upper 50s. Not expecting much in the way of precipitation.
