House of Tandoor to Open in Newton Centre

A new restaurant is on its way to Newton, and the owners of a West Roxbury dining spot are behind the place.

According to a source, House of Tandoor is opening on Union Street in Newton Centre, with a check on the website for Himalayan Bistro on Centre Street in West Roxbury confirming what our source says, that they will indeed be behind the eatery. Based on the address given, it appears that the upcoming restaurant will move into The Studio Empower space, which is above Sapporo. Our source tells us that House of Tandoor could be opening in late April or early May, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet.

Himalayan Bistro, which is known for its Nepali and Indian fare, first opened its doors in 2006.
