Humidity Returns Tuesday; Some Areas to See Isolated Showers and Storms

We enjoyed a picture perfect day today with low humidity and seasonable temperatures under a mostly sunny sky. Changes are on the way for Tuesday as we increase our humidity a tad and a shortwave will help to trigger isolated showers and storms.

Cape Cod may wake up to more clouds and a spotty shower, while western New England will see pop up storms or showers by afternoon. Temperatures will be a tad warmer in the low 80s and partly cloudy skies in between.

Wednesday will bring a more widespread chance for rain and thunderstorms, some of which could be strong to severe.

The storm threat carries into Thursday as well. Temperatures will be warmer in the upper 80s with tropical air in place. This high humidity will support heavy rain with any storm that moves through.

The weather settles down by Friday afternoon and we will start to feel cooler with drier air flowing in. Highs will be around 80 both days this weekend with low humidity (like today). In fact, we keep the low humidity around through much of next week with no big warm-ups.
