Amidst nationwide tension between police and their communities, hundreds of Boston residents turned out Thursday to show their support for the city's police department.
Close to 300 people gathered at Adams Corner in Dorchester, holding up signs thanking and supporting Boston officers.
Some members of the force were seen thanking the demonstrators, who braved the cold weather.
The Boston Police Department also posted a message thanking people on Twitter.
